Feedback please people
I’ve noticed a few people unsubscribing after recent ‘Top 10 Links of the Week’ posts and wondered if doing this weekly is a bit too much. Instead of making that decision myself, I thought I’d throw it out to you lot. What do you think? Is once a week too much? Should I move it to once a month? What would be useful for you?
All feedback welcome in the comments box below.
Thanks

I don’t think once a week is too much. I get a couple other sites that email me the 10 most popular links once a week.
Maybe play around with the day of the week or number of links. I work weekends and when I have downtime is when I scan my Google Reader. For me, posts like that are a great weekend read.
Thanks for responding Trevor
Im going to leave this comment from Paul Sutton here myself (he sent it on Twitter). I’d like to collate them all in one place:
Paul Sutton: For me the top 10 posts dominate & I never read them. Wld prefer more ‘content’
Thanks again Paul
Maybe give a view or indicator on why links have been selected, as some of the links I have already seen via Twitter and sometimes arm simply to lazy to click through!
Good point Melanie, thanks
Should say AM not ARM! Soz M
Hi Gem,
I think it’s great that you’re reaching out and asking people what they’d like in their inbox.
I have to say I agree the Top 10 articles dominate. I don’t feel like I receive anything else from you(?), not sure if that’s a glitch or that’s just what you send out most often.
I delete the Top 10 e-mails without reading (I have enough content to absorb via Twitter, other feeds, e-mails, blog updates, etc.). However, I would definitely value more in-depth insights into marketing trends, that kind of thing.
You’re a thought leader, Gem – keep up the good work!
Thanks Nikki, that’s really useful (and extra thanks for the compliment)
No problem – happy if I’m able to help.
Without a doubt, you have a lot of good stuff to say. It’s just time constraints sometimes mean you have to be a bit selective, unfortunately.
